      The Oxford African Governance Forum (OAGF) is an independent academic and policy discussion platform. It is not a department, faculty, centre, or officially recognised unit of the University of Oxford. References to Oxford relate solely to the academic affiliation or location of certain participants and do not imply institutional endorsement.

         OAGF operates as a non-partisan forum for scholarly and policy-oriented dialogue. The views, opinions, and statements expressed by speakers, moderators, partners, or participants at OAGF events are made strictly in their individual or professional capacities. Such views do not represent those of OAGF, the University of Oxford, or any affiliated institution unless explicitly stated.

      Use of the name “Oxford African Governance Forum” refers only to the activities of OAGF as an independent convening platform. The name, crest, logo, or other trademarks of the University of Oxford must not be used in connection with any OAGF-related activity, publication, or event without prior written permission from the relevant University authorities.

        OAGF does not solicit or accept financial contributions, honoraria, or sponsorship from speakers in exchange for participation. Any event attendance fees are used solely to support local operational and logistical costs and do not constitute payment for speaking opportunities or institutional endorsement.

       

         Event partners and local organisers are independently responsible for venue management, security arrangements, regulatory compliance, and adherence to applicable local laws. OAGF does not assume legal liability for venue operations, security provision, or third-party services associated with events held outside the United Kingdom.

       

Please note that photography, audio, and video recording may take place during any event, organised by OAGF, which is an independent organiser. Images and recordings may be used by OAGF for legitimate and lawful purposes including documentation, promotion, publicity, and future event marketing across digital and print media. By attending an event, you acknowledge and agree that you may appear in such materials. If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please inform a member of staff or the photographer upon arrival. While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request, we cannot guarantee exclusion from all group or crowd imagery. All photography and videography are managed in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Images will not be used for commercial endorsement, nor shared with unauthorised third parties.
