About the event

Join Dr. Shamsuddeen Usman for the presentation of his latest work, Public Policy and Agent Interests, on Tuesday, 19 November, 5:00–6:30 p.m., at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford.

Dr. Usman, a leading economist and reformer, has served as Nigerian Minister of Finance, Minister of National Planning, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, and led major public finance initiatives including the Treasury Single Account and the Sovereign Wealth Fund. He is currently the Chairman of Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI), Nigeria's national asset management corporation. He will be joined by Dr. Andrew Nevin, the Inaugural Director and Research Professor, Brainomics Venuture at the Center for BrainHealth, University of Texas at Dallas. He was also Chief Economist at PwC Nigeria and  is one of Africa’s foremost economic thinkers, with over 30 years of global advisory experience on development strategy and governance. Other co-authors that would be present are Dr. Temitope Laniran and Nuruddeen Usman.
